I will extol you, O Lord,
For You have lifted me up;
I will stay in one accord,
Your joy overflows my cup.
O Lord, You have heard my cry,
You rendered aid and healed me;
Comforting me where I lie,
Opening my eyes to see.
You had brought me up from Sheol,
Restoring me back to life;
Giving new breath to my soul,
Enabled to resist strife.
I sing my praise unto You,
Give thanks to Your Holy name;
As His saint I remain true,
Uphold to proudly proclaim.
I see Your anger endures,
Blessing favor in my path;
As your Word reassures,
For sparing me from Your wrath.
Weeping may tary by night,
But by morning brings me joy;
As the dawning brings new light,
Causing darkness to destroy.
For I shall never be moved,
Like the mountain standing strong;
In Your Word I am behooved,
Morning joy brings a new song.
I cry to You for Your grace,
What profit is there in death;
I plead for Your embrace,
Mercy giving me new breath.
My mourning turned to dancing,
Your glory has made me sing;
Feeling my faith advancing,
With the praise that it does bring.
