Be not yoked with unbelievers,
Righteousness contradicts lawless;
For they are never receivers,
Of salvation like the flawless.
Light associates not with dark,
Nor believers with gentiles;
Because of the path they embark,
Having different lifestyles.
What agreement has the temple,
With idols for the living God;
He will dwell there with the people,
As they show Him honor and laud.
Therefore go out from amongst them,
Separate from their unclean things;
Because our Lord does condemn,
By touching all that Satan brings.
The Lord welcomes you in His arms,
You shall be His sons and daughters;
Shielding you from the one that harms,
When bathed in baptismal waters.
