I thank the Lord with my whole heart,
Before others I sing His praise;
And His precepts I will impart,
Unceasingly nights and days.
I bow down toward the holy church,
Giving thanks for His steadfast love;
His name and Word helps us to search,
For streams of blessings from above.
Whenever I call, He responds,
The strength of my soul increases;
As a relationship that bonds,
To hear His Word never ceases.
We sing in the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of God;
Show Him He is loved and adored,
Praising to be honor and laud.
Because though of the Lord is high,
And respects unto the lowly;
The proud and haughty an outcry,
For iniquity of folly.
I walk in the midst of trouble,
He preserves me against the wrath;
Buries my foes in the rubble,
I walk the straight and narrow path.
The Lord will fulfill His purpose,
His love will endure forever;
Forgiving if I might trespass,
A thankful heart will not sever.
