I am writing these things to you,
So that you will not commit sin;
What I am telling remains true,
That you do not corrupt within.
But if there is a chance you sin,
The Father provides an advocate;
For your righteousness to begin,
A defense to collaborate.
For Christ is the propitiation,
For all the sins of the whole world;
That is caused by deviation,
Of the Law that has been unfurled.
And by this, we have come to know,
Aware to keep His commandments;
Being sincere in respect, we show,
Reverence through obedience.
If you know but do not abide,
You deviated from the truth;
And you considered God has lied,
As a fairy tale since your youth.
But whoever has kept His Word,
In him His love has perfected;
Knowing the truth has then been heard,
His commands were not rejected.
Whoever says that they abide,
Should be walking in the same way;
And never should they try to hide,
Any time attempting to stray.
