He is the image of the God,
The firstborn of all creation;
To whom we will honor and laud,
Has given our salvation.
By Him all things were created,
Up in Heaven and here on earth;
Overcome sin and defeated,
The wickedness from a new birth.
Whether thrones or authorities,
Or the rulers of their kingdom;
All created through complexities,
Through His knowledge and His wisdom.
He is always before all things,
In Him all things hold together;
Consisting that each person brings,
For worshipping as we gather.
He is the head, the beginning,
The firstborn as raised from the dead;
Keeping the righteous from sinning,
And the bread of life we are fed.
He might be the preeminence,
In Him is the fullness of God;
Giving us humbled confidence,
To avoid from becoming flawed.
And through Him be reconciled,
Whether on earth or in Heaven;
No longer to be defiled,
Makes peace that His blood has given.
