For what more shall I say,
That time would never fail;
As to trust and obey,
Before the trumpet wail.
Through faith conquers kingdoms,
And enforcing justice;
Promises of freedoms,
Of faith that you practice.
Quench power from fire,
Escape from the sharp sword;
Quit tempting desire,
That conflicts with the Lord.
From weakness we were strong,
Became mighty in war;
Foreign armies were wrong,
Fell like a falling star.
Women receive their dead,
Rise to a better life;
Redemption they are led,
Far from toil and strife.
Others suffer mocking,
Imprisoned wearing chains;
Been beaten through flogging,
Undergo severe pains.
They were killed with the sword,
In being afflicted;
For they knew not the Lord,
As Satan tormented.
The world was not worthy,
Lost in the wilderness;
No longer feeling free,
Been put under duress.
Through their faith commended,
Received not the promise;
For their life has ended,
Brought from holy justice.
God provides better ways,
Though we are not perfect;
Anyone who obeys,
The Lord does not reject.
