The Spirit has purified your soul,
Through obedience to the truth;
Allowing the Lord to control,
No longer in being uncouth.
Having sincere brotherly love,
Love earnestly from a pure heart;
That is flowing from up above,
In giving you a blessed start.
Because you have been born again,
Not of a perishable seed;
But imperishable from grain,
For growing your spiritual need.
It lives and abides forever,
Abiding in the Word of God;
Strengthened that it will not sever,
And never by becoming flawed.
For all flesh is like a flower,
That glory shines as the Lord calls;
At the coming of the hour,
It withers as the flower falls.
But the Word of God will remain,
When you are preaching the Good News;
To strengthen your faith as you gain,
Of the righteous path that you choose.
