Be not afraid to testify,
As a servant of our Lord;
The Gospel cannot be denied,
While walking in one accord.
Share the suffering of the Word,
The Gospel has power from God;
So that the afflictions are heard,
Bowing down to honor and laud.
He saved us for the holy call,
Never because of our deeds;
But purpose and grace to befall,
Christ gave that salvation succeeds.
Now it has been manifested,
Through appearing of the Savior;
Because death has been contested,
With new life, God has brought favor.
Immortality to the light,
Through the Gospel as a poet;
With the wisdom to shed insight,
While working through His Spirit.
And why I suffer as I do,
But I would never be ashamed;
For believing that it is true,
And the reason I have proclaimed.
I guard what has been entrusted,
And am convinced about the day;
Why I no longer have lusted,
Earthly desires that made me stray.
Follow the form of the sound Word,
By the Holy Ghost that dwells within;
In the faith and love you have heard,
And has cleansed you of all your sin.
The good things which were committed,
Keeps His Spirit to dwell within;
Shows that we have been acquitted,
From the past entangled with sin.
