With His strong hand upon me,
The Lord warned me not to walk;
The earthly way that I see,
Other people how they talk.
Call it not a conspiracy,
Although they may conspire;
Neither fear nor dread what they plea,
For their earthly desire.
Honor the Lord as holy,
By letting Him be your fear;
He is the One and only,
To pay homage and revere.
He is your sanctuary,
And a stone as an offense;
A trap or snare by decree,
Your wisdom with common sense.
Many shall stumble and will fall,
They shall be snared and taken;
Their audacity and gall,
To lack faith is forsaken.
