Count it as joy meeting trials,
Meeting trials of many kinds;
Because temptation defiles,
The virtue of holy minds.

It is trying to test patience,
But faith produces steadfastness;
Which will help your obedience,
Increasing to a new vastness.

Let patience have a full effect;
Lacking in nothing and complete;
And that you may become perfect,
Allowing your faith to defeat.

If any of you lacks wisdom,
Let him ask upon God in prayer;
Refuses such requests seldom,
And is always willing to share.

But in faith, you can always ask,
In your mind shedding any doubt;
Doubts like the wind with the task,
For waves of the sea tossed about.

Never suppose you will receive,
Any blessing down from the Lord;
But let your faith always believe,
Walking with Him in one accord.

The double mind is unstable,
Unstable thoughts in all their ways;
Pathway direction unable,
Controlling the person that strays.
