Rejoice, O daughter of Zion,
Shout aloud and rejoice greatly;
As the King roars like a lion,
Coming in and looking stately.
Behold for your King comes to you,
Righteous and having salvation;
The foal of a colt to pursue,
A fundamental foundation.
O daughter of Jerusalem,
He shall speak peace to the heathen,
Block the chariots from Ephraim,
While He talks about Heaven.
His rule shall be from sea to sea,
From the river throughout the earth;
For from Heaven comes His decree,
Of treasures with their priceless worth.
The blood of His new covenant,
Sets captives free from the deep pit;
To clothe them in a new raiment,
Making them spiritually fit.
Captives of hope, He will declare,
He will restore to you double;
He will shield you from the despair,
Protecting you from the trouble.
For He bent Judah as a bow,
Greece be wielding you like a sword;
And has made Ephraim its arrow,
For He is your King and your Lord.
