The Lord answers in troubled days,
May the name of the Lord protect;
God of Jacob defends always,
Give Him praise and show Him respect.
He sends from the sanctuary,
Help for giving you His support;
Do not lallygag or tarry,
So the enemy you can thwart.
Remember as your offering,
God will grant your heart's desire;
Regard favor in suffering,
All your plans that you acquire.
We will rejoice for salvation,
The name of God sets on banners;
The Lord fulfills your petition,
Attitudes in humbled manners.
The Lord will save His anointed,
His response from Holy Heaven;
The saving of His appointed,
For redemption that was given.
Some trust tanks, others on a horse,
But trust in the name of the Lord;
Let God guide and follow the course,
As you remain in one accord.
They collapse and fall as we rise,
Standing upright for our King;
He answers us to make us wise,
For the victory, He did bring.
