If someone is caught in a sin,
And you have seen their transgression;
Help them with their burden within,
Restore through prayer with confession.
They are overwhelmed by a fault,
Being caught in the tempter’s snare;
Render aid to the burden sought,
Showing that you sincerely care.
Bear for one another’s burden,
In fulfilling the Law of Christ;
By being a lighted beacon,
But watchful not to be enticed.
Someone who thinks they are something,
It is themself who is deceived;
Because they are really nothing,
And they have wrongfully perceived.
Let each one test of their own deeds,
Then if they have reason to boast;
Not of another for their needs,
For essentials of the utmost.
For each has to bear their own load,
A heavy burden to carry;
But assistance can be bestowed,
To induce and not to tarry.
