I might have some confidence,
In the flesh for a reason;
My faith in Christ is my defense,
For everything He has done.
Circumcised on the eighth day,
Righteousness under the Law;
Persecuted as to stray,
Unaware of any flaw.
I thought that I was blameless,
But whatever I could gain;
For the sake of Christ was less,
Who had to endure the pain.
Everything counts as a loss,
Through knowledge of knowing Christ;
In seeing Him on the cross,
Nothing on earth has enticed.
I may gain in Christ to find,
A righteousness of my own;
Giving me a humbled mind,
Confess and God would atone.
Through faith in Christ does depend,
How strongly that you believe;
Proclaiming that you defend,
Salvation that you receive.
I know Him and His power,
Resurrection after death;
Suffering the last hour,
When He did take His last breath.
By any means possible,
I attain resurrection;
After death it’s probable.
An eternal direction.
