Be not surprised at a trial,
When it comes to testing you;
Never to be in denial,
If the outcome would become true.
As though something strange had occurred,
Rather rejoice as what you share;
The suffering of Christ anchored,
Show gladness in glory in prayer.
If reproached for the name of Christ,
Blessings because of His Spirit;
The glory of God has enticed,
In all of which you do merit.
Let no one suffer as a thief,
As a meddler or does evil;
Have them confess to get relief,
And a release from the devil.
As a Christian if you suffer,
Never try to feel any shame;
Jesus is there and will buffer,
As you glorify God in His name.
The time for judgment to begin,
If it starts with the house of God;
Obey the Gospel and confess,
Worshipping to honor and laud.
If the righteous are scarcely saved,
What will become of the sinner?
When the desires have enslaved,
Christ is a discipliner.
Let those who suffer per His will,
Trust their souls to the Creator;
Buffering that Christ would instill,
As the Great Emancipator.
