I wait patiently for the Lord,
For I know He has heard my cry;
Knowing that He has not ignored,
Because I had heard His reply.
He drew me up out of the pit,
Destruction of the miry bog;
For I am spiritually fit,
He set my feet on a firm log.
In my mouth, He put a new song,
A song of praise to our God;
For trusting the Lord is not wrong,
To revere with honor and laud.
Bless those who make God their trust,
To those who stray not or that lie;
Those who are proud and who will lust,
That His commandments they deny.
He multiplied His wondrous deeds,
None can compare unto His thoughts;
He has catered to our needs,
And erases the blemished spots.
