You have rebuked the nations,
And made the wicked perish;
You have caused their cremations,
So that their lives would perish.
You erased names to sever,
Your foes to their destruction;
Cities perished forever,
Because of their corruption.
But You’re enthroned forever,
Established throne of justice;
Convict corrupt behavior,
Sins that have been infectious.
You judge the world righteously,
The people that are upright;
Admonish them grievously,
Who are straying from the light.
You’re refuge for the oppressed,
Stronghold in times of trouble;
Forgives when we have confessed,
Strayed from the holy bubble.
Your name we put our trust,
Not forsaken those who seek;
Guiding us from what we lust,
For remaining humbly meek.
