My Darling Girl.
Your brow is still unfurled
With worry or with care.
With lashes gently curled
You`re like an angel lying there.
Your cheeks are flushed in sleep
And in dreams you`re far away.
Always in my heart I`ll keep
A picture of you this day.
You`re only four years old I know
But to soon the years fly past.
Yet I will not be filled with woe
For my memories will last.
And someday twenty years from now
I`ll smile at you and say
My darling girl the years somehow
Haven`t changed you anyway.
Yes for always in my memory
And forever in my heart
You`ll always mean the same to me
As you did right at the start.
But darling don`t grow up too fast
Never wish your life away.
Too soon your future is your past
And tomorrow is today.
