Memories Of You

When we think of you and the memories so sweet.
There is Celtic and Rangers, and Rangers defeat.
We think of talking and listening and hearing you say
How much you loved us in every which way.

We think of Scotland and Labour, `No Tories`, you`d shout.
Yoga and whisky, and when you were stout.
We think of singing, Dean Martin, A Trailer For Rent.
Of stories for children that you would invent.

We think of years spent together and some spent apart
And `though you are gone now, you live in our heart.
We think you have passed through the curtain of night
And live now forever in Gods holy light.

We think of the things that we did together
And know you`ll be with us forever and ever.
We think and remember how we love you so
But God needed you and you had to go.

So when we`re alone and missing you dear
We will remember and think of you near.
The smell of tobacco, a Dean Martin song
That`s when we`ll know that you`re not really gone.
