Ground Zero

The smoke is slowly clearing, as the days, week and months pass.
"Ground Zero" sings with the sound of Angel
voices as the bells of freedom ring loud at last.
Time shall stand still at this holy site for eternity.
Where the innocent voices of thousands were mercilessly  snuff out.
But their memories will endure, their courage and sacrifice
will withstand the ravages of time with out a doubt.
Their lives were not lost in vain and no one will forget them,
are their families loss and pain.
May their souls rest in peace and their faces etched
in the blue skies of heaven where forever they will remain.
