Paradise Lost
Majestic purple mountains,
Amber fields of grain,
Blue lakes of plenty,
Land of milk and honey.
Invaders from the East,
North, South and West.
Villages, towns, cities
and now metropolis.
Greed, waste,
indifference,
over population,
over taxation,
pollution and war.
Unsafe streets,
violence, starvation,
intimidation, intolerance,
fear and death.
Land of Plenty or...
Paradise Lost?
