Exposed~Why did I trust you the way that I did? I didn't know you, only my heart did. I opened my heart, took down my guard... How could I have prepared myself for such a fall? I came running whenever you called You said you loved me, that you always would.. I guess it was all a lie -- far from the truth. I thought I loved you, but how could I? I was so naive. I thought you cared, I thought you were true -- Then, in an instant, I saw the real you. You broke my heart, left me confused -- what did I do? You were nothing more than men I have met Who hurt and abused me, like I was a mere toy. I often wondered, how could you be so cruel? How could you take my heart and break it in two? But I found no answers, only more questions. I learned to be careful, for to give up your heart is such a big step -- your heart can mislead you -- overwhelming feelings can, too. How can people take love for granted? To me, it is something pure, sacred, yet enchanted. So why did I love you the way that I did?
