I Never Knew

I never knew what love was about
Until I met you
I never knew the power of a smile
Until the first time you smiled at me
I never realized someone could change my life so much
Until you hold me tight in your arms
I never knew the sweetness of a kiss
Until I stole one from you
I never knew how much of a silly I was
Until you made me feel as silly as one can be
I never thought I could love someone so much
Until I look around and find only memories of you
I never believed in the power of forgiveness
Until I experienced Unconditional Love
I never thought you were so handsome
Until I found beauty within my own soul!
No, I never thought I could love you so dearly
Until the day I looked around and
home was not sweet anymore cause you'd gone…
I never thought how much you meant to me
Until I found only emptiness where
before I had all of your silly self!
No, I never thought that love could be so true
Until I gave my entire being to you!
So painful, until the day I realized
it wasn't just a nightmare, it was real...
cause you were not part of my life anymore!
