Remember
Remember when you hid and cried
Because of sad songs sung.
Remember how I held you then
And said, `It`s all right Hon`.
Remember when you took my list
And to the shop would go
Remember how you shivered
As you played in the snow.
Remember back on Christmas Eve
When Santa came to you.
Remember wearing my high heels
I walked without a shoe.
Remember all the parties
When each one did their thing.
Remember how the house was full
And everyone would sing.
Remember when you turned sixteen
A party for good-bye
Remember how I held you
And we tried not to cry.
Remember how I held your hand
As you gave birth to Mel
I remember all the joy
As you were born as well.
Remember all the good times
The happy times, the glee
Remember darling I love you
And know that you love me.
Remember to enjoy this day
As you turn thirty-five
But most of all remember
Be glad to be alive.
