Snowy Foot Steps©
The sound of the Howling is just beneath the rim,
Oh what a sound, then I saw him.
He was standing there looking at me,
I stood still I couldn't breath.
He came closer, I fell to my knees.
Looking into the his eyes of grief.
The sound of his howling gave me chills.
Until he came closer then he fell.
I leaned over to take a closer look
He was crying. Oh how I shook.
I picked him up and the wind blew,
The sky became dark and I knew.
Then came a pup from under the snow,
Head down whimpering oh so low.
The sound of the wind took over,
The howling became Louder.
I picked the pup up, He was so wet
Then I saw the Snowy Foot Steps.
I followed them to the rim,
Where I saw so many of them.
All in a circle dancing around
1,2,3, wolves howling to the sound.
There he was the White wolf that had fell beneath my feet.
He was their leader they shall defeat.
I looked down at the snowy foot steps and then they were gone.
But the sound of howling will live on.
I took the little pup and went on home,
From then on he was known as my own.
To this day I can see,
The snowy foot steps dancing around me,
The wind howling in the distance,
Their Souls never to be bound only free
One by One they walk through the trees,
Snowy Foot Steps 1,2,3
