Dry Lake

I went fishing at the lake,
and waited until dawn,
but the water was all gone.
The bottom of the lake
was dry as a ten day old
birthday cake, on a hot
summer day.

It was so hot…
that the sun would
tan your hide.
Believe it or not…
the fish were already…
fried!

The water was so low,
the lake looks like
a mud hole!

The boat wouldn’t go,
because there was no
water to row.

If your gonna fish in this lake
you’d better dig a deep hole,
and hope like heck, it rains
and rains…some mo!
