Poetry Poem

THE GIFT OF HAVING YOU

More Poetry >>

I'm sitting here thinking about the past,

I'm sitting here thinking about the past,
Hoping in the future our friendship will last.
We have been friends for a short period of time,
And been through a lot, even so, we're just fine.

I've seen lots of people come and go,
Saying and doing whatever; careless, you know??
That's why your friendship means so much to me,
When I'm with you, I feel secure, whole, and so free.

Free from those who won't be around?
When times get tough, and I'm down,
You'll be there for me and you understand how I feel,
Because we both know our friendship is real.
