POETRY IN MOTION
Daisies
DAISIES
The lawn is decorated
With daisies once again,
The green grass on the other side
No longer looks so plain.
They are not large or showy,
And don't wave in the breeze,
They're modest and they only grow
As high as sparrow's knees
But they really are so pretty
When you get down close and look,
As nice as any flower
In a spot-the-flowers book.
And if you pick enough of them
When sun replaces rain,
You can link them all together
In a nice long daisy chain.
And if you're really lucky
And you have nice company
You can make nice decorations
Just like Lady Chatterly.
