Inner beauty shines through
When light streams from within
It shines out like beacon from the eyes
And is something you can see too
Passion smoulders from the eyes
A fire from deep within
Fiery emotions with a firm foundation
Deepest of the primal emotions
Happiness shines from deep inside
Too obvious for you to hide
Everyone knows when love is there
Because you shows you care
Anger too flies out
Sometimes from the blue
Makes the mouth scream and shout
And the eyes a fiery hue
Laughter too, the eyes surround
With wrinkles at each corner
Laughter lines and crow's feet
Often abound
The eyes are then the mirror of the soul
Brown, blue, grey and golden green
And even blackest coal
All the emotions can be seen
From out of the depths of our eyes
Who we are shines through
