The youngest,Most talented and loving
accomplished poet the world has ever known!
You touched my heart from day one
when I saw you on a T.V. talkshow,
I chose you then to be my lil' hero.
Then way too soon I saw your memorial,
This was the day my tears really started to flow.
You stood for all that was good.
Even with your broken lil' body
and restrained for life in a wheelchair,
You showed more love and compassion...
Than the mere mortal could ever imagine.
Traveling near and abroad...
Reading your poetry,hoping your desire for world peace,
Would someday become a reality.
You were a gift from God and touched the hearts of many.
Although you were an angel on earth,
I'm sure our Father in heaven spoke;
"Come on home my son"...
"Your journey is o'er,a job well done".
Now your lil' body is made whole,
No more pain and suffering will you have to undergo.
Just writing your heartsongs...
and running and playing with
your 3 siblings once again,
Cause there's no wheelchairs in heaven.
God Bless you Mattie for touching so many lives.
Perhaps someday...you and I together
can write a poem or prose.
