 Penniluck's legacy

A Moment Of Time.

The children are sleeping peace reigns once more.
Even my husband has started to snore.
The neighbours I know will have gone to their beds
And all of them now will have layed down their heads.
But for me there is nothing can better this time.
This precious hour which is entirely mine.
When just for a while I am fully content
To let all of my thoughts be inwardly sent.
The silence so golden envelopes all care
And carries it off to release in the air.
Then I`m just me,my thoughts are my own.
Not Mrs or Mum, just me, me alone.
This peaceful silence is the best way I know
To recharge my batteries and set them at go.
Like a clock ticking slower when it`s needing rewound
So we also by all laws of nature are bound
To stop for a while at least once a day
To renew all the strength we`ve lost on the way.
It`s up to us all to take of our fill
For time is the one thing that cannot stand still.
