Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories

East of Eden

A far off place
Too far for me to be
Such a wondrous space
Too much for the eye to see
Yet I have a yearning
A heart worn out with caring
A weariness descends upon me
That place is where I wish to be
A heaviness of spirit
A loneliness of soul
An emptiness engulfs me
Because I need to be there
Holding out for a vision
Whilst my mind holds me in its prison
Every cell in my body screams
But I'll never arrive there
Or so it seems
Too far to travel
Too long a path to take
Tortuous is the road
But I must make the break
I have to go on the journey
So I can prove myself and see
The beauteous country of paradise
With spiritual eyes
