Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories
Solitude
My soul cries out for solitude
So I can get my head in gear
To look the truth right in the eye
And face the thing I fear
My heart, it sighs out for solitude
A blanket lying heavily
An anchor on my thoughts
Makes sanity an impossibility
Logic, is the teacher,
It strives to show me the way to go
But I don't want to listen
That not something I want to know
Pulling me in two directions
Heart versus logic
One says stay, the other go
Perhaps I should give them both a kick
Friends say follow your heart, be happy
And that sounds a good way to go
But home I come, a place familiar
And reason states that's not for me! Oh! NO!
Everything I am is here
This place I call house not home
But wherever it is I choose to stay
I don't want to go alone
Alone to face decisions
That is the place I am at
A nothing place of indecision
And that is stating a fact!
