Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories
That Special Somewhere Place
This was written for my mum who recently is coping with the pain of bereavement.
A space I hold within my soul
For you and no one else
You are the one I'm dreaming of
In that special somewhere place
But only when I'm in my dreams
Can this truly come to be
For on waking
Reality comes back to me
A place of starlight and midnight hours
Of hopes and dreams to see
But you are not here for me
When dawn brings her morning showers
You are out of reach
So far away
And only in that distant place
Does my spirit hold you in its special space
A curtain of invisibility
Is drawn between
Reaching out and upwards
But totally unseen
That curtain hangs so thick
An impenetrable barrier!
Me here and you the other side
My heart breaks and tears I cannot hide
So untouchable you are for me
In that far off place you are
But for me it's one step too far
And I can't step on without you"
