GONE
My motorbike has gone.
My friend for many years
Has disappeared from out my life
And I'm just left with tears.
Stolen when my back was turned,
No longer standing there.
Pushed away in silence.
Don't know why and don't know where.
Well passed her prime and tatty
And due for putting down,
It still performed its functions
And took me into town.
Life's just not right without it,
Comparing cheese with chalk.
Yesterday a biker,
Today I've got to walk.
Life goes on, I'll manage,
But how I'm going to pine!
It's always been so faithful,
It's always known it's mine.
The police are on the look-out,
I've got my fingers crossed,
But part of me is missing.
It's gone and I am lost.
