Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories

Misty Morning

 Locked in mist's covered land
Smoky grey shadows around
Swirling smoky tendrils
And heavy blanket on moist ground

Tall buildings loom,
A darker shaky outline
Showing majestic height
Puny in comparison to God's might

Sea mists settle makes everywhere eerie
A thin pale yellow smear
As the sun pushes through
As though too weary

A sad limping yellow white light
Pushing against mist's grey heavy might
The effort too much to force her way
So mist won the battle for today

All around me an eerie silence
Enveloped in cold damp mist
Only the blast of fog horn
To make sure they are missed

A sound of extreme loneliness
The foghorns sounding its tone
Ships seaward being borne alone
Journeying onward to rest

Struggling to glide though
The journey be long I know
Through mist- laden waters
To reach the safety of home

Thick heavy mists
As land and sea are covered
Visibility gone
Everything in grey and shadow

But watch the gleam
A tiny hint of golden glow
The sun has broken through
To a brighter clearer view
