Desk Top OrnamentI sit here Just watching you It's all I was created for It's all I can do! You put me here As a reminder of Friendship and for Something you once had fear So I sit here as a memory Of this time a year ago When your heart was torn apart And there was only one way to go I sit here encased in glass Wooden frame surrounding me A gentle mind jog of the place You just refused to see I watch you every day And think back to that time When harsh words were spoken To stop your heart from being broken A difficult road You then had to choose But you knew then You had nothing to lose So with support and some hometruth You are where you are today So this little picture now Sits here watching you Just a little thing, I have to say A memento of that day Of the one who came And put herself in the frame Jayc 14th September 2004 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
