Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories

In The Frame

This poem was written by my friend Janine in response to the poem "Desktop Ornament"

You sit there watching every day
Keeping me on my toes
So I do not slide again
To a place that no-one knows

Every time I look at you
Staring back at me
I think how much time you spent
So I could be free

Your friendship goes far beyond
Whatever is expected
And even now it keeps me sane
Never to be rejected

A memory you prove to be
A reminder of the past
All the things are left behind
When the die was cast

Locked inside your frame and glass
Trapped with no way out
A painful image in my mind
That makes me want to shout

Not holding back, you told the truth
At times was hard to face
But never would you let it go
You would not close my case

So a little thing in return
That I too have to say
Thanks for watching over me
And coming round that day
