Waiting for tonight
Your love is like the sun,
Always burning,
Always bright.
It wraps me up, safe and warm
When I am cold at night.
It is brighter
Than the moon itself,
And shines without ceasing.
It lights up an entire room
When darkness 'round is creeping.
It brings me up
When I am down,
And never lets me fear.
Comforts me in times of sadness.
Wipes away every falling tear.
It catches me whenever I fall,
And strengthens me when I'm weak.
Knows exactly what's on my mind
Without me having to speak.
Your love is something
I will never forget
No matter what comes my way.
I'll always remember
The one thing that's true
Is the love that is shared
Between me and you.
Waiting for tonight
when you would be here in my arms
