Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories
There's a ghost in my house!
There's a ghost in my house!
And I really didn't want to say
‘Cos the blasted thing
It's with me every day
It's sits upon the landing
And waits for me to use the loo
And sometimes I am that desperate
I don't know what to do
So I sit and cower in my bed
With the blankets over my head
And sit and wait till dawn break
But by then I'm in a bit of a state
It's been in my house for ever so long
I really can't remember
But I know it's there
‘Cos I can feel it real strong
I don't know why it's there
Or why it chooses me to scare
It stands outside the bathroom door
I don't like it there anymore
I won't close the door in the night
‘Cos it gives me such a fright
To open that door when I don't know what I'll see
The thought of it really terrifies me
So I told me mate
When we had our weekly date
And she told me to burn frankincense
But that didn't make a lot of sense
But when she said churches do
Then I began to understand too
For it chases anything evil away
So I'm going to burn incense today
I'll get rid of that ghostly ghoul
‘Cos I don't like ‘em as a general rule
You see they are'nt really supposed to exist
But there- in lies the ghastly twist!
‘Cos that ghostly shape is there each night
Sitting waiting to give me a fright
I just really don't know what to do
To finally get shut of you!
So I'll light a candle of purest white
In the hopes that you will follow the light
And then you can go on your ghostly way
So I can be rid of you today
I'll say a prayer or two
And ask for help to get rid of you
I don't want you in my house any more
So I won't be scared to shut my bathroom door!
Good riddance to that ghostie
Very soon of you I'll be free
So out comes the burner and the candles tonight
And you'll be chased right out of sight!
