I wrote this poem for a real good friend of mine, as the poem says and she says of other poeple often "She's a star!"
I went on a trawl through the poetry site
Imagine my surprise, imagine the fright
For there-in was a picture I knew
I think you know her too
Her site name is Ingo
And I think you will know
That this is the site
Of a girl who likes to fly her kite
She is delighted to say
That her poems are being published today
They will be soon out in a book on the shelf
So you can go read her work yourself
She has walked the walk
And trod well her path
She has come through some walks
And all with no map!
She has found her way
Though she hasn't had much help
She has struggled on every day
But she has found herself anyway
She's a great person to know
And a wicked humor you know
She makes me laugh
And that is a rare gift to have
Despite trauma of every type
She has come through much in her life
As daughter, sister,
Mother and wife
She has walked that walk so many times
That now she holds out an offering hand
Though she struggles every day with pain
She will help you to happiness to gain
A more wonderful person I have yet to meet
She a rare bird but she is a treat!
A rare and pleasant girl, who's come so far
