Wishing well(Updated 01-19-08)
Wishing well
Written by D.A.M.
January 4, 2005
As I was walking down the trail
I noticed a wishing well
so I decided I would take
a closer look at it for myself
When I stood by the lip
of the well looking down
I noticed it still had water in it
And it was in that moment
that I decided that now
would be a great time
to make a wish
So I thought to myself for a moment
and then I pulled a coin
out from my pocket
Because I knew that it was time
so I turned around
with my back facing
the wishing well
Because I had made my wish
and I was ready to toss
the coin into the well
I flipped it over my shoulders
and I waited patiently to hear
the sound of water splashing
For a moment there all I could hear
was the wind whispering to me
So I decided to get a little closer
and to look inside the wishing well
and I kept waiting for the coin
to splash at the bottom of the well
Finally I could hear
the coin as it lightly
splashed down with a plop into the water
I leaned over the edge of the well
and I could see the circles in the water
And I could also see the
beautiful reflections of clouds in the skies
and all the colors were absolutely radiant
But in that reflection
in the well
I could also see
a beautiful angel
in the clouds above me
And thats when I knew
that all my wishes and dreams
would come true

Bumps in the road (Friendship)
An angel in disguise
You are so much more
The tears of my past could fill a river bed
Some day God will fill a cup full of your tears
Ten seconds was all that I had to make a split decision.
