You are my summer.
When you go away
The sky is grey
Dull dreary days ensue.
The sky is not
But I am blue.
Time takes two steps forward
One step back
The spirits slack.
I try not to make an issue
Of how I'll miss you.
When you return
It's a different matter.
The grey clouds roll by
The sun becomes a smiley
In the sky.
Birds take to the wing
And even sparrows sing.
The dandelion clock
Comes out of hock
And I'm a happy
Chappie.
