To Tell This Makes Me Cry

One day a little onion was playing on the street.
Along there came a big fast car and knocker her off her feet.
Poor thing, the way it happened she didn't stand a chance.
Somebody dialled 999 and called an ambulance.
She wound up in the children's ward in bandages and plaster.
Here parents rushed to see her when they heard of the disaster.
"How is she, doctor?" they enquired as soon as the got there.
The doctor said "Right now she is in intensive care,
And I have some bad news for you which really is regrettable.
The damage done was very bad and she'll always be a veg'table".
