A BOOT
He shuffled down the street,
Made people stare
On one foot he had a boot,
The other foot was bare.
They whispered, sniggered
Even laughed aloud
And then a fellow tramp
Pushed through the crown.
"I see you've lost a boot",
He said, quite snide.
"I haven't, I've just found one"
He replied.
