Oh what a sad day
when she went to court
for a serious driving offence.
She thought she was the perfect
driver in every sense.
"Why were you driving
on the wrong side
of the road?"
asked the man
representing the law,
peering over his
half-frame specs,
in a voice
uncaring and raw.
"For a very good reason",
she said in defence,
And an innocent face
she did pull.
"I would have been on
the proper side
but at the time
it was full."
