I had a blow-up doll some years ago
For company when I was feeling blue,
A secret no one else would ever know,
But now I can admit it and it's true.
I bought it at a market out of town
And after dark I took it home with care.
I'd blow it up and then I'd let it down
And no one ever guessed that it was there.
I kept it hidden in my garden shed,
Behind the hover mower it was hid.
My wife and I spent happy hours in bed
And I remember well the things we did.
But so oft to my blow-up doll I'd turn
When decent conversation I would yearn
