Fading Memory Every step of the way I've been by your side Never did I expect to cry Every tear held a memory The person I once knew is gone I'm all alone now In an empty room I think of all the good times I don't hate you I am just so hurt You were supposed to be my friend The one I could always trust I gave you everything special to me And you took it all for granted I put you first While you put me last I don't wish anything bad upon you And I never will I am happy for you And wish you the best I feel like the fool I believed everything you said You looked into my eyes And I couldn't resist You knew what to say To melt my heart With all the pain you gave me I thank you 'Cos in the end I'll be stronger I'll build a shell and hide away For now I'll play make believe When you are around I'll pretend not to care Not one tear will fall In spite of all the heart ache I thank you For making me a stronger person You no longer exist You are now a fading memory And soon you will be gone Lubaina Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
