At times we are vulnerable
and our expectations are always
high.

And when someone special
comes into our lives

Our walls slowly come down
one brick at a time

But I have had to learn
in my life time
that to  truly trust someone
takes a life time

We must always
reassure each other
with respect and trust
that our love
can withstand
the hands of time
through dedication and loyality

And if we can do that
from the very begining
then the trust
that we share between us
can never be  shattered or broken

Then we can
share our love together
and it can truly last forever

Its really not hard to do

Love can be shared
and it can be built
on a promise to each other

If that can be accomplished
the desires of the heart
can  float like
a calm stream
within our minds
forever and a day

Where hopes and dreams
can come together
filled with a
lifetime of love
