I do pray and hope
That all your dreams
in life will be fulfilled
Even if it is just one day at a time.
Time has its cycles
that we all go through
To teach us along the way
of the many harsh lessons
that we must learn each and every day
So that we can become strong
and aware of the elements
that are outside our doors
I know the journey is a long one
filled with many hidden lessons
Some good some bad
But the greatest lesson I have ever learned
is that the greatest gift of all
is that of the human heart
It doesn't have a price
It's not hurtful or harmful in any way
As long as the love that you receive
is the unconditional kind
Then it's all the human heart needs
for someone else
to remind us
that we are loved unconditionally
Then no matter what we face
and no matter what hurdles stand in our way
That through love and faith
That the mountains of burdens
that claim so many lives
will not claim your's
May peace surround you
in the coming days
And may gentle music
play in your ears
to comfort your soul
in the coming years
So that you
can heal and grow
in this journey we call life.
